I offer individual therapy for adults, either in-person or online. An eclectic approach is used incorporating various techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.
A special interest and experience in working with depression, anxiety, high-performance, burnout, pain management, grief, trauma, terminal illness, and high-performance.
Masters in Counselling Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand, I’ve worked at Helen Joseph Hospital, consulted in pain clinics, and in management consulting to large corporations and executives.
Therapy changed my life once and now I aim offer the same space to others: focused, human, and quietly powerful. Simply, to help you live with clarity, strength, and intention.
Understanding the process of psychotherapy and easing anxieties around the general questions.
The questions answered will include: how you know if you need therapy, scheduling, length and frequency of sessions, online or in-person, confidentiality, medical aid, and many other questions many of us have when looking for and seeing a psychologist.
Work across hospitals, pain clinics, and corporate settings informs an approach that is both practical and evidence-based. Each person that steps into the process will have a tailored approach to their treatment using the most appropriate aspect from various modalities for your particular presentation.
All clients present with layered experiences of predisposing, precipitating, and perpetuating factors. I choose to treat clients with the understanding that there is a direct correlation between one's mental health and their performance in every facet of their lives, from friends and family to their occupation and hobbies.
Choose the format that works for you. Secure video sessions, comfortable in-person appointments, or alternating platforms that suit your lifestyle are all available.
Sessions are grounded in the belief that people have capacity. Not just problems to solve, but potential to realise.
