High-performance is psychological

Athlete & Endurance Runner

I’ve competed at elite levels and run ultramarathons. Experiences that shaped how I understand pressure, resilience, and the mental demands of high performance. It’s one thing to train your body, but staying focused when it matters most is something else entirely. I work with clients to develop the psychological tools needed to manage setbacks, sustain motivation, and unlock potential, in sport and beyond.

Provincial Coach & Team Leader

Coaching several unbeaten provincial squads taught me what creates a winning mindset. I’ve also worked with C-suite leaders from the biggest financial institutions in South Africa during my time in management consulting. Whether in sport or business, I help clients build mental toughness, stay focused under pressure, and develop habits that sustain long-term high-performance.

Special Interest in Anxiety

My interest in anxiety is rooted in the high-performance world. I help clients manage self-doubt, overthinking, and burnout, all common in competitive or success-driven environments. When we understand how anxiety shows up, we can learn to work with it rather than against it. That’s often the difference between holding back and performing at your best.

“You just have to be at your best more often. That is the central secret of performing under pressure.”
